Developer Hardsuit Labs and publisher Paradox Interactive present Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2! This Vampire – themed action RPG is a longawaited sequel to the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines from 2004 developed by Troika and published by Activision. It should also be noted that the first VTMB ran on the Source engine, just like HalfLife 2. Welcome to the Masquerade In a similar way to the original, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is inspired by a tabletop RPG game of the same name but you will also feel the influences and style of the Underworld movie franchise. The game takes place in particular districts of Seattle that are controlled by a secret subculture of Vampires known as the Masquerade. All the citizens of this society are bounded by one rule do not break the Masquerade. No one can reveal the existence of Vampires to regular humans. You take upon the role of a person recently turned Vampire through a violation of a sacred law. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will have you taking up the role of a detective, seeking the truth behind this unsanctioned incident. Different Vampire clans VTMB 2 presents rich narrative and solid worldbuilding defined by different Vampire political factions and clans. Each of them has a different history, different motives, different reputation and different skills. While the tabletop game presented up to 13 clans, VTM Bloodlines 2 will have five clans that the player can join (while the others will be featured as NPC characters). In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 it will also be possible to choose between three preset classes: chiropteran characters manipulate bats; mentalism class allows the use of psychic powers and the nebulation class can transform the Vampire into a mobile mist. Action RPG gameplay VTMB 2 will mix both action and RPG elements. The player will experience the game from the first person which allows for traditional FPS play with guns. The same is with melee combat, however, certain skills can trigger thirdperson combat animations (similar to takedowns from Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Mankind Divided), that give the game an intense, cinematic impression. Just like in many modern RPGs Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 allows to participate in various meaningful dialogues with NPCs, and each conversation will provide the player with more dialogue options in subsequent conversations. Prepare for a cinematic, immersive experience in this dark world of Vampires, night clubs and neon lights – in a lot of ways reminiscent of cyberpunk vibes.
